Catching you guys up hopefully

Hey everyone,
First off I finally got my report card. Well okay I got it on Thursday, but hey I haven't been keeping you (the blog) up to date. That's mainly because there is not much to talk about. I got all A's!!! YAY!! Plus I found out I ranked 1 out of 92 in my class!! Wow!! I can't believe that. O.o

I'm writing yet another story for English. Once I've finished it y'all can read it cuz I'll post it on here again. Like the other stories.

Now here's something I can believe I'm saying.......
I'm writing a book with some of my friends. Anyone who knows me knows I don't like to write let alone for fun. O.o So this is totally a first. This book is going to be about how we met, about last year, insight, and anything random! This will be a very random book, but then we're all random! =D We won't publish it but we'll print it out and keep it like a high school keep sake.

Next thing is here are some really really great songs that I thought I'd share with you.
Well I think that's it so may the odds be in your favor,
~Sandy

I really like this. =D Maybe it's because I'm adopted, idk in any case watch this. If anyone is thinking about having an abortion please remember just because you can't take care of your child you can give your child up for adoption where they can go to a family who will love and provided for them. I'm so happy to know my birth-mom even though she could keep me she did the best thing for me. She gave me up, I know this must have been extremely hard for her but she did the best thing for me! =D

The First Date

By Sandra Cash

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lizzy and a boy named Joshua.  They both went to the same high school in a Minnesota small town.

One fate driven and special day, Joshua bumped into Lizzy during the long line at lunch. He stumbled to say his apologize but when he looked up, he was lost in her eyes. After both tongue tied teens caught there breathes, Joshua asked Lizzy out on a date. Lizzy breathlessly said yes.

However a horrible tragedy struck Joshua the morning of the big day. He had horrible stomach cramps. When he whined to his mother, she shook her head and said all-knowingly that he needed fiber.

As soon as Joshua was better from his stomach cramps, he asked Lizzy out on a movie date. Lizzy breathlessly said yes, so on Saturday Lizzy meet up with Joshua at the mall. There was a new scary movie that they both wanted to see, so that's the movie they decided on going to.

Lizzy went to the mall in a daze and could not wait until she'd see Joshua. When she met up with her Joshua they had some time to waste. They began walking around the mall lost in each other's eyes.

Lizzy began talking to Joshua asking him how his day was, what's new with him and so on and so on. Joshua kept answering in the simplest answers he could give her, because he was lost in her eyes. Lizzy noticed how far way Joshua was staying away from her, for he was standing away like she'd bite him if he got to close. Lizzy began to wonder if she'd be lost forever in the crowd.

While being lost in Joshua's eyes she began to think "He's acting like I'm a snake that's about to bite" to that she had to hide a laugh.

By the time they realized the movie would be starting soon they began to head toward the movie theater. When they got there they found out that the movie had already begun, but the lady told them it would start again in a few minutes, so they decided to wait.

While they were waiting Lizzy once again tried to talk to Joshua and move closer to him. He once again he backed away from her like if he got to close he'd over step his welcome or like she'd bite him. She gave up on talking to him, so she decided she'd get lost in his big beautiful brown eyes. While she was lost in his big beautiful brown eyes she began to think "He's acting like I bite" she had to keep hiding a laugh that wanted to come out.

While they were lost in each other's eyes they realized that the movie was going to start soon, so they went to get the tickets. Once they got their tickets Joshua asked Lizzy if she'd like something to drink or eat while they were in the movie. Lizzy said she'd like a drink. They headed toward the line, while standing in line they got lost in each other's eyes and Lizzy was able to actually able stand close to Joshua. Lizzy just than realized how tall he was to her, he was about a foot taller than her. When it was finally their turn to get something they got a Dr.Pepper.

Once they enter the room they find out that the movie had already started, so they had to find a spot. Lizzy because she was short was jumping up to see if she could find them a spot, and they finally did find a spot way at the bottom. Lizzy noticed how Joshua sat as far away from her in his seat, she tried really hard not to laugh at this. For she thought it was quite funny to see her date who should be used to her and yet so very nervous.

About half way through the movie Joshua seemed not to be as nervous.  After a while Joshua held out his hand like he would like to hold hands, so she gave him her hand to hold.  About three forth's way through the movie Joshua slowly pulled away his hand from Lizzy's and put his arm around her.  Lizzy looked at him and then he leaned in to kiss her. When suddenly their pop explodes! Lizzy laughing as quietly as she can says "Well I guess I should not have jumped while holding the pop while we were looking for a spot."   Once they had cleaned up as best as they can they went back to the movie. They go back to watching the scary movie. Josh leans in to try to kiss Lizzy again, but Lizzy suddenly jumps up at a really scary part. Which nocks Joshua over and he falls to the ground. She helps Joshua up and is about to apologize when he leans in and kisses her. She smiled at him and he whispered in her ear, "I love you."  Then she whispered in his ear "I love you too."  They watched the rest of the movie. Once it was done they decided to walk around the mall. After a while Lizzy had to go she said good bye to Joshua. The next day at school Joshua and Lizzy start talking about the date with their friends and their friends start laughing at the story of the date. And they lived happily ever after.

Once it was done they decided to walk around the mall.  While they were walking around the mall there was suddenly a gang fight.  They tried to get out of the way, but Lizzy accidently got in the way. As soon as Joshua saw this he suddenly pushed himself in between Lizzy and the gang fight. Just as he did that a knife got him and he fell to the ground. Lizzy went down to where Joshua was, she asked him if he was okay. He said yes he was fine, though she knew differ. She slowly started to cry and said "please don't leave me Josh, please don't die. I love you and I need you hear with me."  He said "I love you too" and then suddenly he closed his eyes. Lizzy sat there in a daze; she could not believe that her Josh was now dead and that he died to keep her safe. The end.

iTutor session/rant lol =)

Hi everyone,
So yesterday I finished all most all my homework except for like one discussion post for spanish class. Anyway I did this because Wednesdays are always crazy with all the elives I have. So right now I'm sittin all by myself (well okay with Ms.Berg but she's away working) in a elluminate room. See I'm an iTutor for english and math, every week I sit here just waiting for someone to come in who needs help. Every week no one comes, but today I just thought hhm...do students know about this? and if they don't how should this be advertised? and if they do know about this but don't come in because they don't feel comfortable what can I do to make it more comfortable? If anyone has ideas please put it in a comment!! I could totally use the help because so far the only people I help are friends and they live in different states so I don't do it through insight school of Minnesota.

Minnesota Humor

Hi everyone,
Sorry but I just saw this and OMW (that stands for Oh my wow for those of you who didn't know) this is SO funny and TRUE! LOL so here it is.

Jeff Foxworthy on Minnesota :

If you consider it a sport to gather your food by drilling through 18 inches of ice and sitting there all day hoping that the food will swim by,
You might live in Minnesota

If you're proud that your state makes the national news 96 nights each year because International Falls is the coldest spot in the nation,
You might live in Minnesota

If you have ever refused to buy something because it's "too spendy",
You might live in Minnesota

If your local Dairy Queen is closed from November through March,
You might live in Minnesota

If someone in a store offers you assistance, and they don't work there,
You might live in Minnesota

If your dad's suntan stops at a line curving around the middle of his forehead,
You might live in Minnesota

If you have worn shorts and a parka at the same time,
You might live in Minnesota

If your town has an equal number of bars and churches,
You might live in Minnesota

If you know how to say…Wayzata. ..Mahtomedi. Cloquet. Edina ..and Shakopee,
You might live in Minnesota

If you think that ketchup is a little too spicy,
You might live in Minnesota

If vacation means going "up north" for the weekend,
You might live in Minnesota

If you measure distance in hours,
You might live in Minnesota

If you know several people, who have hit deer more than once,
You might live in Minnesota

If you often switch from "Heat" to "A/C" in the same day and back again,
You might live in Minnesota

If you can drive 65 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching,
You might live in Minnesota

If you see people wearing hunting clothes at social events,
You might live in Minnesota

If you install security lights on your house and garage and leave both unlocked,
You might live in Minnesota

If you think of the major food groups as beer, fish, and Venison,
You might live in Minnesota

If you carry jumper cables in your car, and your girlfriend knows how to use them,
You might live in Minnesota

If there are 7 empty cars running in the parking lot at Mill's Fleet Farm at any given time,
You might live in Minnesota

If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit,
You might live in Minnesota

If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow,
You might live in Minnesota

If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter, and of course, road construction,
You might live in Minnesota

If you can identify a southern or eastern accent,
You might live in Minnesota

If your idea of creative landscaping is a plastic deer next to your blue spruce,
You might live in Minnesota

If "Down South" to you means Iowa,
You might live in Minnesota

If you know "a brat" is something you eat,
You might live in Minnesota

If you find -10 degrees "a little chilly",

He's just a lap dog...

Hi everyone,
Okay so I got this email from my Mom and I had to show you it. So here it is and may the odds be in your favor.

This is what I call a dog. Isn't he gorgeous! I love big dogs and would love to have one like this, problem is they don't live very long and that is the part I hate.

Now, this is a DOG!!

Meet 'Giant George' the 7ft-long blue great dane who could be the world's tallest dog.

Standing at nearly 43 inches tall from paw to shoulder, and weighing a staggering 245lbs, could this be the world's new tallest dog?

Pictured here in the parks of Tuscon , Arizona , George, a four-year-old blue great dane, looks more like a miniature horse than a dog.

'Giant George' and owner Dave Nasser share a couch together: The four-year-old blue great dane, weighs a staggering 245lbs and measures almost 43ins at the shoulder

The gentle giant, who measures 7ft 3ins from nose to tail, could be a prime contender to take the title from the former record holder, Gibson, a harlequin Great Dane who passed away from cancer last August.

Now George's owners, David and Christine Nasser, are awaiting confirmation from Guinness World Records to see if he has achieved the lofty heights.

'He's 42.625 inches at the shoulder,' said David. 'He's very very unique.'

According to David, George consumes 110lbs of food every month, and sleeps alone in his own Queen Size Bed.

David and Christine raised George from when he was 7 weeks old, but never expected him to grow so big.

Magnificent: George measures more than 7ft from nose to tail.

With size comes problems: The giant great dane barely fits in the back of his owner's SUV

The couple eventually had to move their aptly named dog out of their king sized bed, when he grew too large for the three of them to share the same sheets.

Dr. William Wallace of the Buena Pet Clinic in Tucson , who witnessed the documentation necessary for the Guinness record, said: 'In my 45 years of experience working with giant breed dogs, without question, George is the tallest dog I have ever seen.'

David is currently rushing to get that necessary documentation into Guinness as other dog owners are coming forth claiming the record.

As they wait for the results to come through, George is busy occupying himself with his new found stardom and even has a Facebook fan page and Twitter accounts for his adorning fans.

It appears as though the sky's the limit for this mammoth hound.

Paws for thought: George's giant feet dwarf his owner Dave Nassar's hand.

Here is my ode.

Hey everyone,
I just finished my ode to my computer. So here it is. I hope you enjoy it. May the odds be in your favor,
~Sandy

An Ode to My Computer

By Sandra Cash

Oh computer,

You are helpful and yet,

you are a pain.

How can that be?

You are helpful in plenty of ways.

I can get an education with your help.

I can do my homework anywhere,

as long as I have you.

With you I can talk to my friends who live away from me.

I can also make friends with people who live in different countries.

You play a part of preparing me for life.

And like anything that plays apart of preparing me for life,

you are a pain!!

You can cause stress and anger,

when you do not work the way you should.

And when you do not work I have to call tech.

By now everyone who is in tech knows my name.

But on the bright side at least I know how to explain the problems you are having to tech

You are undependable,

because when I need you to work

you always then do not work.

In the end,

like anything

you have a good side

and a bad side.

I might get mad at you,

but in the end I'm fine with you.

So I'm like you in the way that

I have a good side and a bad side.

So we can still be friends.

For I am like you.

Let America Be America Again by Langston Hughes

Hi everyone,
So my iMentor put up this website with all these poems and I was looking at it so I can get some ideas for my ode. I found this poem and I really enjoyed it so I thought I'd put it on my blog so here it is and may the odds be in your favor,
~Sandy

Let America Be America Again by Langston Hughes
Let America be America again.
Let it be the dream it used to be.
Let it be the pioneer on the plain
Seeking a home where he himself is free.

(America never was America to me.)

Let America be the dream the dreamers dreamed--
Let it be that great strong land of love
Where never kings connive nor tyrants scheme
That any man be crushed by one above.

(It never was America to me.)

O, let my land be a land where Liberty
Is crowned with no false patriotic wreath,
But opportunity is real, and life is free,
Equality is in the air we breathe.

(There's never been equality for me,
Nor freedom in this "homeland of the free.")

Say, who are you that mumbles in the dark?
And who are you that draws your veil across the stars?

I am the poor white, fooled and pushed apart,
I am the Negro bearing slavery's scars.
I am the red man driven from the land,
I am the immigrant clutching the hope I seek--
And finding only the same old stupid plan
Of dog eat dog, of mighty crush the weak.

I am the young man, full of strength and hope,
Tangled in that ancient endless chain
Of profit, power, gain, of grab the land!
Of grab the gold! Of grab the ways of satisfying need!
Of work the men! Of take the pay!
Of owning everything for one's own greed!

I am the farmer, bondsman to the soil.
I am the worker sold to the machine.
I am the Negro, servant to you all.
I am the people, humble, hungry, mean--
Hungry yet today despite the dream.
Beaten yet today--O, Pioneers!
I am the man who never got ahead,
The poorest worker bartered through the years.

Yet I'm the one who dreamt our basic dream
In the Old World while still a serf of kings,
Who dreamt a dream so strong, so brave, so true,
That even yet its mighty daring sings
In every brick and stone, in every furrow turned
That's made America the land it has become.
O, I'm the man who sailed those early seas
In search of what I meant to be my home--
For I'm the one who left dark Ireland's shore,
And Poland's plain, and England's grassy lea,
And torn from Black Africa's strand I came
To build a "homeland of the free."

The free?

Who said the free? Not me?
Surely not me? The millions on relief today?
The millions shot down when we strike?
The millions who have nothing for our pay?
For all the dreams we've dreamed
And all the songs we've sung
And all the hopes we've held
And all the flags we've hung,
The millions who have nothing for our pay--
Except the dream that's almost dead today.

O, let America be America again--
The land that never has been yet--
And yet must be--the land where every man is free.
The land that's mine--the poor man's, Indian's, Negro's, ME--
Who made America,
Whose sweat and blood, whose faith and pain,
Whose hand at the foundry, whose plow in the rain,
Must bring back our mighty dream again.

Sure, call me any ugly name you choose--
The steel of freedom does not stain.
From those who live like leeches on the people's lives,
We must take back our land again,
America!

O, yes,
I say it plain,
America never was America to me,
And yet I swear this oath--
America will be!

Out of the rack and ruin of our gangster death,
The rape and rot of graft, and stealth, and lies,
We, the people, must redeem
The land, the mines, the plants, the rivers.
The mountains and the endless plain--
All, all the stretch of these great green states--
And make America again!
